Here's a list of resources the Surely As the Sun team has found helpful in our walk with God:
- The Bible Project - A nonprofit organization dedicated to making the story of the Bible accessible to everyone. They offer free resources such as downloadable Bible reading plans, study notes, and video script references. Their beautifully animated videos are posted to their website as well as YouTube, and serve to help people understand the coherent, incredible story of Jesus Christ and how all the books of the Bible tie in together to lead us back to Him.
- GotQuestions.org - Provides clear, detailed answers to biblical questions by pulling straight from the scriptures. From Why does Jacob wrestle with God? to How to get to heaven, the site has answered over 700,000 questions. Additionally, if you are a non-Christian and you receive enough answers to lead you to accept Christ as your savior, at the bottom of each article there is a button that will direct you to a page detailing next steps. Here you can request their "Now What?" brochure, which they will ship to you completely free of charge.
- Need Him Global - An extension of Got Questions, Need Him is a live online chat that connects users to global Christian volunteers. You can simply enter a topic and your first name to start an instant chat from the web page, or text (320) 345-3455 for a mobile option.
- Christianity Today - A media outlet that reports on all modern topics through a Christian lense. It circulates a print magazine, hosts numerous online blog forums and offers free newsletters.
- Bible Hub - Allows you to search specific Bible verses and view various translations, along with context, cross references, and in-depth commentary. For example, Hosea 6:3.
