*What constitutes a Christian theme?
As a Christian literary journal, we want the work we publish to shine a spotlight on Christ, but you may be wondering what exactly counts as 'Christian-themed.' The answer to that ties back to our prompt on the home page: When did God last appear to you?
We want to share with people the phenomenal truth that God is not some far-away deity. He's close by. And anyone who wants to can have a relationship with Him. The trouble is that it has become increasingly difficult to see Christ's light in a world drifting away from dependence on God and towards self-sufficiency.
Are you able to feel God's presence? Do you find Him to be worthy of praise?
We want pieces that explore Christ's very real presence in this world. Did a beautiful sunset remind you of God's power? Did God answer your prayer, or has a prayer of yours still gone unanswered? Has a certain story in the Bible been relevant to you recently? Do you have something to tell Jesus, or do you feel that Jesus is trying to tell you something? Send us your praise, testimonies, observations, communion, and revelations. Send us your doubt, questions, and confusion.
But that being said, please don't send us any hate. When deciding whether or not something categorizes as hateful, we consider the two greatest commandments: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself." (Mathew 22:36-40)
For a better idea of what we like, check out the list over on our About page.
